Cotswold Cheese (1 lb)

Superior Product5

I have bought and eaten Cotswold cheese for years from many sources. Amazon offers this item and also a Cotswold from IGORMET. I have tried both and the IGORMET cheese is just not very good. This product however is very good and quite up to snuff and tasty as hell. It is also from England who came up with this type of cheese and they obviously know what they are doing. The difference between the original taste and imitations are like night and day. You can eat this all day if you can afford it and love every bite. An imitation makes you want to spit it out and it irks one to pay so much for a bad version of a superior cheese. Buy this one.More detail ...

Mannoni Imported Pecorino Romano - 3lb. Wedge

Good Cheese4

This company delivers very quickly. Good cheese but very mild taste. IMO a well aged Romano should be very sharp and bitey. This cheese is best when used to flavor sauce. It's a good value if you like a mild cheese.More detail ...

Set of Fondue Cheeses (2.5 pound) by igourmet.com

Try It!5

If you've never had real Swiss fondue you're really missing something special. My only regret is that I live in an area that usually doesn't get cold enough to really enjoy fondue to its fullest. To compensate (and because we love winter) my wife and I often go to the mountains where it does snow and when we do one of the first things we enjoy is Swiss fondue.

I've found that the cheeses in this assortment make a wonderful and very authentic Swiss fondue. Just be sure to have a loaf of crusty French bread handy as well as white wine and kirsch. And don't skimp on the kirsch; it really makes the fondue special.

My family and I have found that fondue is best served the traditional Swiss way...as a main course. It's just too filling for an appetizer and just so good you want to eat your fill! There's nothing quite as relaxing as a good fondue on a cold winter's night. This cheese assortment is the first really authentic fondue assortment I've found since my days of backpacking and hitchhiking around Europe.

I really can't praise this cheese assortment highly enough. You really have to make a fondue yourself and taste how good it is to believe it. Try it! Please! Once you do you'll become an addict!More detail ...

Ekte Gjetost (1.1 pound) by igourmet.com

Dulce de Leche5

Caramelized goat's milk cured and shaped into bricks by genuine Norwegian trolls! 'Ekte Gjetost' means literally 'genuine goat cheese' but this cheese bears little resemblance to any "chevre" you've eaten recently. It's sweet. Some people think it tastes slightly like peanut butter. As one reviewer has already declared it has roughly the texture of buffed-up Velveeta. It's one of the prides of Norway and by confessing that I love the stuff I'm making a case that I myself deserve the Nobel Peace Prize since I'm a Swede. Ja då! Alltså! Pan-Scandinavianism shall we say? If nationalism were only expressed by touting one's local cheese rather than one's military might or religious certainty!

This 'Tine ekte gjetost' is a tastier cheese than the more widely sold Ski Queen which blends cow and goat milk. Either one however needs to be somewhat fresh; you can keep them half of forever in your refrigerator but the flavor deteriorates especially when the cheese is exposed to air. You can judge by the color; if there are darker duller edges it's gotten senile. People eat gjetost most often as part of a breakfast spread. You shave thin slivers of it from the block and let it melt on your tongue or else eat it on simple flatbread. Härlig! Var så gud ....More detail ...

French Cheese Assortment (1.8 pound) by igourmet.com

I Love French Cheese!5

As much as my family and I love cheese from Italy and Spain we love French cheese more. France is a country that produces more than 100 cheeses so it must have been difficult to choose only four for this assortment but in my opinion four of the very best were chosen.

We are all watching our weight at my house so we eat a lot of salads. While cheese is definitely not a "diet food" a little in a salad goes a long way especially when you're using Buche Chevre. My children love it on crackers as well.

My wife and I reserved the chaource and the epoisses for a "wine and cheese" party but believe me they are so wonderful and so special you'll be tempted to eat them anytime party or not.

The Gruyère de Comté is just so special I can't really find words to describe it. It's rich. It's creamy. It's delectable. We often eat it as a dessert cheese. Yes it's really that good!

If you're looking for a special gift you can't go wrong with this French Cheese Assortment. These are four of the finest cheese France has ever produced.More detail ...
